The Golden Chariot Pride of The South Train Tour starts on every Monday of the week from Bangalore and ends in Bangalore on every Monday morning respectively.

The land once ridden by formidable armies is now traversed by the worlds most unique railway The Golden Chariot Pride of The South beckons you to discover worlds that are enriched with history and culture. Recline and relax as the magnificent scenery unfolds outside your window with luxury on the inside, thus far reserved for royalty. We present The Golden Chariot Pride of The South a fine balance between a glorious yesterday and an omnipresent tomorrow in a magical land that is Karnataka.

Duration: 7 Nights / 8 Days

Destination: Bangalore- Kabini/Bandipur- Mysore- Hassan- Hospet- Badami Goa- Bangalore


Day 1 Bangalore- Yeshwantpur

Arrival at the hotel in Bangalore followed by lunch and Departure for sightseeing to Vidhana Soudha, Lal Bagh St.Mark's Cathedral with some spare time for shopping at MG Road.
Leave for Yeshwantpur Railway Station by coach
Proceed to The Golden Chariot for Dinner overnight on Board.

Day 2- Yeshwantpur- Mysore

Breakfast on board. Mysore Maharaja's Palace.
Departure for sightseeing to Srirangapatna and Daria Daulat Fort by coach. Lunch and proceed to visit the beautiful city of Mysore that is known for its fine craftsmen ship in wood, ivory, sandal-wood and for its silk. Visit the Maharaja's Palace, which is lavishly decorated in a mixture of styles. Also visit the Zoological Garden, Mysore Arts Crafts centre and then proceed to the Chamundi Temple on a hill above the city.
Dinner overnight on Board.

Day 3- Mysore- Kabini- Mysore

Breakfast on board. Kabini
Depart to Kabini. Kabini, a scenic delight was once the hunting lodge of the erstwhile Mysore Maharajahs. The steep valleys with rich forests, spectacular pools and rapids provide an ideal opportunity to revive your adventurous spirits. Enjoy the game viewing by boats in the National Park
Lunch at Kabini.
Enjoy a movie on wildlife.
Peaceful walk with nature.
Jungle safari in jeeps.
Drive back to The Golden Chariot.
Dinner overnight on Board.

Day 4- Mysore- Hassan- Mysore

Drive from Mysore to Hassan. Belur Belur Drive through lush tropical landscapes to Halebid and Belur As one architect and critic said "These friezes carved with a minute elaboration of detail are one of the most marvelous exhibitions of human labor to be found even in the patient East".
Return to the train for Lunch at 1300 hours.
Visit Sravanabelagola and the famous Jain Temple. Sravanbelgola famous for its colossal statue of the Jain Saint Gomateshwara.
Depart for TB DAM.
Dinner Overnight on board.

Day 5- TB DAM (Hospet)- Gadag

Arrive at TB DAM Hampi Gadag
Breakfast on board.
Drive to Hampi Visit Hampi A world heritage centre, Hampi is the most beautiful and evocative of all the ruins in Karnataka. The erstwhile capital of Vijayanagara kingdom, Hampi is full of delightful surprises. Like the King's balance where kings were weighed against grain, gold or money which was then distributed to the poor and the Queen's bath with its arched corridors, projecting balconies and the lotus-shaped fountains that once sprayed perfumed water, the two storied Lotus Mahal with recessed archways, the huge Elephant stables.
Return to Golden Chariot of Lunch.
Cultural show at the temple complex.
Sound and light show inside the temple complex.
Dinner Overnight on board.

Day 6- Gadag- Goa

Breakfast on board. Aihole Pattadakal. Arrival in Gadag.
Visit Aihole Pattadakal Aihole famous as the cradle of Indian temple architecture has over 125 temples, all intricately carved and rich in detail. The oldest temple here, is perhaps the 5th century Lad Khan. The Durgigudi is particularly interesting and unique, being circular in shape and surmounted by primitive gopuram. The Hutchmall temple, the Ravalpadi cave temple, the Konti temple complex, the Uma Maheshwari temple, the Jai Meguthi temple and the two-storied Buddhist temple are the other attractions at Aihole.
Lunch at Badami court.
Visit Badami. Badami once the former second capital of the Chalukya dynasty. Here the cave temples are hewn out of solid rock, in a magical setting of hills above a lovely reservoir.
Return to The Golden Chariot.
Depart for Goa.
Dinner Overnight on board.

Day 7- Goa

Arrival at Goa, Breakfast on board.
Drive to Candolim beach by coach at The Taj Holiday Village.
Arrivals at the beach, sun bathe and relax on the beach.
Sightseeing of Old Goa churches and Museum.
Drive to Solas De Colacos.
Visit an old Portuguese house and have tea / coffee break.
Drive back by coach through Miramar beach and Panjim City
Return to train. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 8- Goa- Bangalore

Breakfast on board.
Arrive Bangalore and disembark The Golden Chariot.
